2026 is a special year for SILAB, as its SOFT CARE department, dedicated to compromised skin, celebrates its tenth anniversary. To mark the occasion, the company focused its stand on CICACTYL®, the third ingredient in the range, designed for wounded or damaged skin requiring enhanced repair by acting on the four key processes of the proliferative phase of wound healing.
SILAB also featured CICACTYL® in the Innovation Zone and delivered the technical seminar “Understanding the Complexity and Dynamics of Skin Healing”, demonstrating its in-depth knowledge of skin regeneration mechanisms.
The company also presented new applications for its sixth-generation tightening ingredient LIFTILIENCE®, extending its use from Skin Care to Hair Care and Sun Care.
Meanwhile, MINASOLVE, a pioneer in developing green chemistry alternatives to conventional preservatives, presented its new multifunctional ingredient O-LEEN 26®, the world’s first plant-derived ethylhexanediol.
This ingredient is positioned as an “all-in-one” solution, combining antimicrobial efficacy at low concentrations with a pronounced preservative-boosting effect. It also offers cosmetic benefits such as moisturisation, emolliency and improved sensory properties, thanks to its light texture, rapid absorption and ability to optimise application. Its versatility extends to solvent functionality, improved pigment dispersion and enhanced self-tanning effects, all with a minimal impact on formulation rheology.
In line with current trends, it meets clean beauty and cruelty-free standards, positioning it as an efficient, highly cost-effective alternative for developing natural and sustainable formulations.
